OFW Builds Modern House for Php400k

All overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) dream of a better life for their family that’s why they sacrifice being far away from them. A house is one of the best things that an OFW can provide for the family. It doesn’t even have to be big as long as it is something that they can call their own.

Shared by vlogger Jon Diaz on his YouTube channel, the video shows a time-lapse of the house construction at the OFW’s house in Malolos, Bulacan.

What people really loved about this video is that a breakdown of the materials and labor costs had also been included. This gave people an idea of how much it would cost to build a similarly sized home. Certainly, this is a beautiful inspiration to other families out there who dream of building their own house but are unsure whether they could have something good with their limited budget.

The OFW’s family spent a total of Php121,550 for labor costs covering 38 days while the total cost of materials, including Meralco, water, and windows, amounted to Php269,375. With a grand total of just a little over Php390,000, this house is already ready for the family to transfer. It is far from being completed, but it is already livable.
