Impressive Tank House

Ronald Tan, the owner of The Tank House located at City Camp Proper in Baguio City, shares a video of the tiny but beautiful house that’s quickly becoming a favorite spot in the city.

He claims that it’s the smallest, complete, and livable house at just around 5.5 sq m in size, with dimensions of 2.2 m x 2.45 m.

Tan explained that he conceptualized the project after his wife asked him to fix their water tank.

He wanted to make something productive for the family, and thought that he could also make something that can become a tourist spot in Baguio City.

To maximize the area, he combined the dump and the bodega.

The water tank remains at the top, but the house below it is quite impressive.

The fully functional house features a dollhouse for his children at the first floor and a loft at the second level that can fit up to two beds with four people. People can stand up at the loft.

The downstairs area has a regular height and regular-sized furniture, such as a regular-sized sofa and regular-sized dining table.

There are lots of windows so that the space wouldn’t feel too small and claustrophobic.

It has a kitchen and dining area that comes complete with a refrigerator, microwave, and a stove for easy meal preparations.

The house is small but it has lots of storage space in various areas, such as the sofa that opens into a divan, a built-in cabinet under the kitchen counter, and additional cabinets above kitchen counter between the curtains and the ceiling.

There are also plenty of electrical outlets, making it a perfect space even for millennial.

According to Tan, you can build this house at the price of Php60,000 to Php80,000 for the bare minimum, including finished walls.

But if you want it to look great and have all the lightings, fixtures, and other features, you’ll need around Php200,000.
